About the Role  
IN SIDE is a fast-growing recruitment and consulting business with a clear strategy for further growth. We are looking for someone to join our Finance team with the skills and personality to help us with this growth. In this role, you will be part of an inclusive, positive, and dedicated team working with the business. Reporting directly to the Associate Director – Commercial Services, the Assistant Accountant is an integral part of the team undertaking a variety of financial tasks for IN SIDE’s candidates, clients, and our wider IN SIDE team—all while delivering a refreshingly personal experience.

As the Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for contributing to the success of IN SIDE by managing a range of finance related tasks in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner. This is a hands-on role in which you are involved in everyday finance operations.  
 
You will be an experienced Assistant Accountant wanting to join an organisation that values your experience and skills, or perhaps a recent graduate wanting to be mentored as you work towards obtaining your Chartered Accountant qualification.
 
To be successful in this role you will be a continuous learner, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a strong customer focus. You will be someone who takes ownership of your work and hold yourself to high standards. You will have the chance to work alongside and be supported by driven professionals who will focus on your wellbeing and growth.
 
The role will include: 
  • Preparing and processing payrolls for our internal staff and our contractors 
  • Invoicing our clients
  • Tax compliance
  • Processing payments to our suppliers
  • Responding to queries from contractors on financial matters
  • Developing and improving our processes and systems 
  • A variety of other finance related tasks for month end close

We’re looking for a motivated self-starter with: 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • An active interest in finance
  • Confidence and ability to learn new technologies and processes
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • A great eye for detail
  • Confidence and tenacity
  • An Intermediate user of Excel – this will be tested
