We collect personal information to help people find employment or find a contract assignment, to verify information supplied by you, to provide and market our services, and to continue our relationship.

  • Individuals we deal with while acting for clients and carrying on our business;

What kinds of personal information does INSIDE collect?

We collect, including but not limited to, the following information:

  • Your name and contact details (address, email address, and telephone number);
  • Your emergency contacts name and contact details (email address and telephone number);
  • Information included in your curriculum vitae such as your occupation, employment history, education, qualifications, and professional memberships;
  • Documentation to confirm your identity and eligibility to work in New Zealand;
  • Background and reference checks to verify your employment history, criminal convictions, credit history (for finance roles where allowable by law), and medical history (position related);
  • Results of any psychometric testing; and
  • Other information that assists us in conducting our business and marketing our services.

How does INSIDE collect personal information?

We will collect personal information from:

  • You directly when you complete our registration forms, submit your curriculum vitae, and submit your proof of identity and eligibility to work in New Zealand documentation;
  • You indirectly through emails, face-to-face meetings, interviews, attendance at events, business cards, telephone conversations, and through our website and social media channels.
  • Third parties, for example:
  • To confirm your qualifications, professional memberships, criminal convictions, credit history (where allowable by law) or undertake psychometric testing;
  • Employment references;
  • Companies who analyse traffic at our websites, social media channels, and emails which may involve the use of cookies; and
  • From publicly available websites.

Management of personal information

We take all reasonable steps to protect the security of your personal information held by us from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. For example, physical access to our offices is protected, and access to electronic records requires a login, password and multifactor authentication.

Where we no longer require your personal information, we will comply with our legal obligations in respect of that information.

We endeavour to ensure that the personal information we hold is accurate, complete, and up to date. We encourage you to contact us to update any personal information we hold about you.

You have the right to correct any personal information we hold about you in accordance with the Privacy Act.

How can you make a privacy complaint?

If you have any questions about privacy related issues or wish to complain about the handling of your personal information by us, please contact our Privacy Officer on (04) 488 0347. Any complaint will be investigated by our Privacy Officer, and you will be notified of the decision in relation to your complaint as soon as practicable after it is made.
