McDonald’s New Zealand is seeking a commercially minded Business Insights Analyst to join its Consumer and Business Insights team on a fixed term basis.
This role sits at the intersection of data, pricing, consumer behaviour, marketing analytics and commercial performance. You will work with restaurant and business data to help the organisation understand what is happening, why it is happening, and what decisions should follow.
The work is numbers-led, but the value sits in translating analysis into clear insight, practical recommendations and well-presented material that can be understood across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare commercial analysis, reporting and performance dashboards
- Analyse restaurant and business data to identify trends, drivers and opportunities
- Support pricing analysis, pricing rounds and post-implementation reviews
- Build financial models, charts and presentations
- Translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical audiences
- Support consumer research and marketing analytics
- Provide practical, evidence-based recommendations to support decisions
About You
- 2–3 years’ experience in an analytical, commercial or insights-focused role
- Background in retail, FMCG, QSR, consumer goods, manufacturing, consulting or finance
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, XLOOKUP and nested formulae
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to communicate commercial insights clearly
- Strong attention to detail and practical working style
- Collaborative approach with the ability to engage stakeholders
