Procurement plays a key role in enabling Contact to deliver on its strategy. As part of the Finance & Risk function, the team partners closely with the business to support investment, manage risk, and ensure strong commercial outcomes across assets, services, technology, and supply chain activity. As Procurement continues to mature, strong contract management and governance are critical foundations for success.
Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
We’re looking to appoint multiple Contracts Advisers to join Contact’s Procurement team. These roles sit at the heart of how Contact manages commercial risk, ensures contractual compliance, and supports the delivery of services and projects across the organisation.
As a Contracts Adviser, you’ll manage a portfolio of contracts, supporting renewals, extensions, and new agreements, ensuring contracts are well structured, well managed, and fit for purpose. You’ll work closely with Strategic Sourcing Specialists (Category Managers) and business stakeholders, providing practical advice and helping embed stronger governance and consistency across Contact.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, while still needing strong judgement, prioritisation skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders who value autonomy.
You’ll be trusted to:
- Manage contract renewals, extensions, and variations across your portfolio
- Support the development of new contracts and scopes of work
- Ensure contracts are accurately captured and maintained within SAP Ariba
- Provide advice to stakeholders on contractual obligations, risks, and options
- Support sourcing activity and work alongside Strategic Sourcing Specialists
- Help uplift contract governance and consistency as the function continues to evolve
These roles can be based in Auckland, Taupo, New Plymouth, Wellington, Tauranga, Christchurch, or other operating locations by arrangement, with flexible and hybrid working supported.

We’re looking for commercially minded professionals who enjoy managing contracts, working through complexity, and building trust with a wide range of stakeholders.
Successful candidates will likely bring:
- Experience in contract management, procurement, or commercial roles
- Confidence managing multiple contracts and competing priorities
- A sound understanding of commercial terms, risk, and governance
- Strong attention to detail, balanced with practical judgement
- The ability to communicate clearly and build credibility with stakeholders
