- Broad corporate affairs role with senior leadership exposure
- Work across policy, stakeholders, reporting and communications
- Auckland based, hybrid working and strong package
This is a broad corporate affairs opportunity with a well-established multinational business undergoing ongoing change, transformation and market evolution.
Working as part of a small, influential corporate affairs function, you will support senior leaders across stakeholder engagement, policy monitoring, issues management, internal communications, reporting, governance and the preparation of clear business updates.
The role offers genuine variety. One day you may be helping interpret external developments for the business, the next preparing briefing material, coordinating internal updates, supporting stakeholder activity, managing reporting requirements or helping bring structure to a fast-moving work programme.
This will suit someone who enjoys working close to the business and can move comfortably between thinking, writing, organising and doing. It is not a narrow communications role, nor is it a purely policy-focused role. The successful person will need strong judgement, clear writing, confidence with stakeholders and the practical discipline to keep important work moving.
The opportunity
You will support a range of corporate affairs priorities, including:
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- Policy and external environment monitoring
- Preparation of briefings, submissions, presentations and internal updates
- Issues management and reputational support
- Internal communication activity
- Reporting, governance and compliance coordination
- Budget and supplier administration
- Engagement with regional and global colleagues
- Support for senior leaders across business-critical workstreams
About you
You may come from corporate affairs, public affairs, policy, government relations, communications, consulting, an industry body, a business network, or a stakeholder-facing role in a complex organisation.
You will bring:
- Strong written communication skills
- Sound judgement and discretion
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
- An interest in policy, business and external affairs
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities
- A practical, low-ego and self-starting style
- Comfort working in a multinational or complex business environment
- Strong PowerPoint and business presentation capability
Working environment and package
The role is based in Auckland, with a hybrid working rhythm of three days per week in the office.
A competitive package is available, including base salary aligned to experience, short-term incentive opportunity and a range of additional benefits.
This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to step into a role with breadth, senior exposure and real ownership within a lean corporate function.
