In New Zealand, Belron’s Trade Services portfolio includes two nationally recognised networks: Laser Group and Exceed. Together, they represent a significant growth platform spanning plumbing, electrical and home services, with meaningful opportunity for strategic expansion into adjacent categories.
Belron NZ is now seeking a Trade Services Director to join the Executive Leadership Team and define the next phase of growth and evolution across Laser and Exceed.
This is a portfolio strategy role at scale.
The Trade Services Director holds full accountability for the long term performance, positioning and structural evolution of the Laser and Exceed networks. Working through the General Managers and a dedicated growth capability, the role shapes the multi year strategy across footprint, member model, customer segmentation, service mix and commercial design.
The mandate extends beyond optimisation. It includes identifying and evaluating new verticals, rethinking distribution pathways, assessing build, partner or acquisition options, and ensuring the franchise system settings are fit for the next decade of growth.
Critical to success is deep expertise in franchise or member based business models. This role requires a sophisticated understanding of network economics, contractual frameworks, performance levers and stakeholder alignment. The ability to influence and align independent members, suppliers and internal leaders behind a coherent strategic direction is essential.
We are seeking a senior executive who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience operating within franchise or member based systems
- Proven success leading or transforming multi site or vertically integrated services businesses
- Strong strategic capability including business case development and execution of change
- Commercial depth across both B2B and B2C environments
- Experience identifying and scaling new service lines or market adjacencies
- The credibility and judgement to contribute at full Executive Leadership level
