This 12-month contract offers a key commercial leadership role in a high-performing, flat-structured NZX business. Hands-on and high impact, it suits someone who can quickly embed, build trust, and deliver results.
As Head of Commercial, you’ll own a broad, hands-on mandate. Reporting to the CFO, partnering with GMs and the CEO to drive commercial outcomes, lead procurement initiatives, and deliver strategic insights that shape business performance.
The Opportunity
- Autonomy & Impact: Operate with real decision-making and direct executive access.
- Broad Commercial Scope: Procurement, process improvement, commercial analysis, and business partnering.
- Strategic Exposure: Support internal transactions, integrations, and ad hoc strategic projects.
- While M&A is not the immediate priority over the next 6–12 months, this role keeps you close to strategic projects and ensures readiness to execute when opportunities arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with GMs and senior stakeholders to deliver actionable commercial insights.
- Build robust business cases and financial models to assess key initiatives.
- Lead procurement projects – supplier renewals, commercial offer analysis, and contract negotiations.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and governance.
- Deliver ad hoc commercial analysis to support decision-making.
- Support group-wide projects, integration activities, and potential M&A evaluations.
About You
You are a senior commercial leader with a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced, complex environments.
You are also comfortable with autonomy, are commercially astute, and know how to partner with senior leaders to influence outcomes.
