As the business continues to grow, this role plays a key part in driving performance across the PZ Cussons portfolio within grocery.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Grocery Channel Manager, this role has ownership of the PZ Cussons portfolio across the New Zealand grocery channel.
This is a hands-on role with real accountability. You will be trusted to run your accounts end to end, managing relationships across Foodstuffs and Woolworths while delivering sales and margin performance across a high-volume, promotion-led category.
It is a role were staying close to the detail matters. Promotional activity drives a significant proportion of volume, so the quality of your planning and execution has a direct impact on performance.
Performance in this role is visible. If you enjoy accountability, ownership and improving outcomes, it will suit you well. If you prefer to keep things steady, it may not be the right fit.
You will be supported by an experienced internal team across brand, supply chain and field, but the expectation is clear: take ownership, make good commercial decisions and deliver results.
What you will be doing
You will own the commercial performance of your accounts, including sales, margin and trade investment.
Your focus will include:
- Building and delivering clear account plans aligned to growth objectives
- Managing promotional programmes and trade spend within tight margins
- Working closely with customers on ranging, pricing and category opportunities
- Driving strong in-store execution through effective collaboration with field teams
- Staying close to performance through forecasting, demand planning and reporting
About you
You enjoy being close to the customer and the numbers, and you take pride in getting the detail right. You understand how grocery works and are comfortable operating in a commercially demanding environment.
You will bring:
- Experience in Key Account or National Account Management within FMCG or grocery
- Exposure to major retailers such as Foodstuffs and or Woolworths
- Strong commercial judgement across pricing, promotions and trade spend
- Confidence building relationships and navigating commercial conversations
- A proactive, results focused mindset
