Crown Infrastructure Delivery (CID) is a Crown-owned organisation providing a range of infrastructure services from delivering nationally significant infrastructure projects to expert project management and support services (including scheduling, finance, risk, and reporting), Infrastructure advisory services, Business case development and drafting and asset management strategy and operations for central and local government organisations across Aotearoa. With offices in Wellington, Auckland, and Christchurch and work around the country we are growing our capability and culture.  

 
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the Role 
Auckland is home to some of the most significant infrastructure investment happening in Aotearoa right now, and CID is at the centre of delivering it. We're looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of delivery on these high-profile projects, working closely with an experienced Project Director, delivering work that will shape services and communities for generations. 

You'll take responsibility for managing your projects end-to-end: establishing and maintaining core project documentation, and monitoring delivery against schedules, budgets and quality expectations. You'll be a key point of contact for government stakeholders, escalating issues to your Project Director where needed, and working closely with CID's Project Support Office and Health and Safety functions to keep delivery on track. 

You’ll also: 
  • Manage internal and external project team members to meet deliverables and timelines 
  • Maintain risk and issue registers, co-ordinating mitigation measures 
  • Lead and manage external consultants and third-party contractors 
  • Build and maintain relationships with public and private sector stakeholders, property and business owners, and the wider community 
  • Report on project status, providing advice on funding issues or scope changes 

Ko koe tēnei | About You 
You bring commercial construction or project management experience and a genuine ability to operate credibly within public sector client environments. 

Your background includes: 
  • A tertiary qualification applicable to the construction and development sector 
  • 3+ years' proven experience in commercial construction or project management, with a record of successful delivery 
  • A sound understanding of construction contracts, particularly NZS 3910 and NZS 3916 
  • Proven ability to build relationships and partnerships with multiple, multi-faceted stakeholders, including public and private sector agencies 
  • The judgement to balance stakeholder expectations against budget and scope realities 
  • Resilience and adaptability, with comfort operating in a fluid, changing environment 
  • A positive, values-driven, collaborative approach to delivery
