About the role
Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this is a key leadership role responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and performance of a team of Insurance Advisers, across the Auckland region, while strengthening strategic partnerships and customer outcomes.

Leading a team of advisers, you'll bring strong sales leadership, commercial acumen, and a collaborative approach to lift capability, improve performance, and build a high-performing culture that is grounded in teamwork. With significant growth plans underway, you'll play an important role in expanding customer reach and identifying new opportunities across key distribution channels.

This is more than a sales leadership role. You'll provide clear direction, develop leadership capability, foster accountability, and create an environment where people can perform at their best while contributing to the broader growth of the team and business.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive regional growth, sales performance, and profitability while identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships and expand customer reach.
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and internal teams to deliver strong business and customer outcomes.
  • Develop talent and leadership capability to support the organisation's continued growth.

What you'll bring
You are a commercially astute and high performing people leader who thrives in growth-focused environments. You enjoy developing capability, building strong relationships, and achieving results through others.

You'll also bring:
  • Proven success leading sales, customer, or business development teams within banking, insurance, financial services, or a related industry
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to inspire performance and build engaged teams
  • Demonstrated success driving growth, customer acquisition, and commercial outcomes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on approach as well as a growth mindset and passion for developing high-performing teams

What we offer
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with significant growth ambitions and a strong market presence. You'll work alongside experienced leaders, lead a highly visible function, and play a key role in shaping the future success of the organisation.

Along with a competitive remuneration package and benefits, you'll have the opportunity to grow your leadership capability, influence strategy, and make a lasting impact in a business investing heavily in growth, innovation, and its people.
