We’re seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join a small, collaborative People team on a fixed term contract from late January - early June. This role is based in the Hutt Valley, with flexibility to consider either a fixed-term salary or an hourly rate arrangement for the right person.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, can hit the ground running, and is confident operating across the full HR generalist spectrum. Alongside delivering day-to-day advisory support, you’ll also play an active role in a significant project, contributing to workstreams such as new ways of working, change planning, and supporting leaders and staff through the transition.

What you’ll be doing

• Providing senior-level HR advice across the full employment lifecycle
• Coaching leaders on ER matters, performance, wellbeing, and workforce planning
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and general HR operations
• Contributing to project work
• Helping shape and embed new ways of working
• Working as part of a small, supportive team that values collaboration and clear communication

What you’ll bring

• Strong experience in a Senior HR Advisor role with broad generalist capability
• Confidence handling a range of ER queries and coaching managers
• Ability to quickly understand “the lay of the land” and build relationships
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, changing environment
