- Wellington Based Opportunity
TenFour is New Zealand’s leading AV and Unified Communications solutions provider. As a Crestron Elite Partner and Polycom Gold Partner, they are known for delivering complex AV solutions with precision—from cutting-edge design to seamless integration and ongoing support. With teams across Aotearoa and 100% Kiwi ownership, TenFour is the trusted name for high-end AV project delivery.
We are currently seeking a skilled Installation Service Technician based in Wellington to join our delivery team. This is a role for someone with real AV experience—not someone with just an interest, but someone who understands signal flow, control systems, rack building, and AV integration in commercial environments.
You'll work across a variety of client sites including auditoriums, boardrooms, huddle spaces, control rooms, training rooms, and more—each project offering unique challenges and the opportunity to apply your technical expertise.
As the go-to onsite expert, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all installation work meets specification, is delivered on time, and reflects TenFour’s commitment to quality. You'll also play a role in solving issues in the field, collaborating with engineers and project leads, and making sure the final product exceeds expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out high-standard AV installations across commercial environments.
- Interpret and follow system designs, cabling plans, and schematics.
- Build and wire AV racks, mount displays, terminate and test cabling.
- Install and configure control systems (e.g. Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS).
- Communicate clearly with clients and provide technical feedback to the team.
- Ensure health and safety standards are met on all job sites.
You’ll bring:
- Hands-on experience in the AV industry, ideally in commercial or enterprise projects
- Familiarity with control systems and AV signal flow
- Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills
- A proactive, team-focused approach and excellent communication skills
- A full, clean NZ driver’s licence
- SiteSafe Building Construction Passport (advantageous)
Why join TenFour?
You’ll join a team that’s passionate about AV and proud of the work they deliver. TenFour offers ongoing professional development, a supportive team culture, and the opportunity to work on some of New Zealand’s most interesting AV projects.
