About the Role 

We are looking for a confident and capable Senior People Advisor to join Acusensus in this newly created position. Based in Auckland, you’ll work closely with the Talent and People Operations Lead and senior leaders across New Zealand and Australia to establish and deliver a robust, practical people function. 

 
This is a varied, business-facing advisory role where you’ll help shape culture, drive talent acquisition, support leaders through our rapid growth, and establish people practices that are compliant and consistent, enhancing internal communication, and fostering a truly supportive and inclusive environment as our NZ team expands. 


Key Responsibilities 
  • Drive the full recruitment process, delivering exceptional candidate experience. 
  • Provide sound, timely advice across employment relations, recruitment, onboarding, and performance 
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen management capability and embed HR processes 
  • Support change and business growth with pragmatic, fit-for-purpose people solutions developing frameworks for scalable organisational and leadership structures and ensuring adequate resource allocation  
  • Collaborate with the wider HR team across the region to align on frameworks and priorities ensuring equitable opportunities for development and promotion are transparently communicated to address perceived biases 
  • Champion and help build a high-trust, values-led culture from the ground up, focusing on enhancing employee recognition and fostering a sense of being valued 

About You

You’re an experienced HR generalist who’s confident working across both strategic and operational people matters. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth settings and are energised by the opportunity to help set up a people function in a greenfield environment. 
 
You will bring: 
  • Solid experience in employee relations and NZ employment legislation 
  • A practical, people-first approach to HR advice and leadership support 
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills – from leadership to workshop floor 
  • Proven ability to adapt your style across corporate and operational teams 
  • Curiosity, initiative, an agile approach and a desire to learn and grow as the company does
