Smith and Smith is New Zealand’s leading vehicle glass repair and replacement business and part of the global Belron group. We are seeking a senior commercial leader to take accountability for B2B and Key Account performance across the New Zealand market.

This is a senior, long-cycle commercial leadership role operating within a complex insurance environment. The focus is on building and sustaining multi-year partnerships, managing contract renewals, and driving profitable portfolio performance across insurance and adjacent commercial channels.

The Head of Commercial leads the national Key Account team and owns the commercial strategy across insurance, fleet, rental, trade, and corporate partners. The role operates at executive level with customers and internally, shaping negotiation strategy, pricing discipline, and long-term account value, while ensuring commercial commitments are operationally deliverable.


The role:
  • Own and execute the national B2B and Key Account commercial strategy
  • Lead complex, multi-year insurance partnerships and renewal cycles
  • Drive margin, pricing discipline, and key account profitability
  • Lead negotiation strategy across the account portfolio
  • Lead, coach, and develop a national Key Account team
  • Partner closely with operational and executive leaders

About you:
  • Senior commercial or Key Account leadership experience within insurance or closely aligned sectors
  • Proven capability managing long sales and contract renewal cycles
  • Strong commercial judgement with a track record of balancing growth, margin, and risk
  • A credible, resilient negotiator with executive-level presence
  • An experienced people leader who builds capability and accountability
