Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
We’re looking for a Supply Chain Operations Adviser to join Contact’s Procurement team. This role sits at the centre of how procurement operates day to day, ensuring systems, processes, and controls are fit for purpose and well adopted across the organisation.
In this role, you’ll focus on enabling the end-to-end procurement lifecycle. From supplier onboarding and contract execution through to reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with Procurement colleagues and business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve how things are done, embed stronger controls, and support the effective use of systems such as SAP Ariba.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys improving how work gets done, guiding others through change, and bringing clarity and structure to complex environments.
You’ll be trusted to:
- Support end-to-end procurement and supply chain processes
- Enable effective use and adoption of procurement systems, including SAP Ariba
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency
- Support contract management processes, reporting, and data quality
- Help assess and mitigate procurement-related risks and strengthen controls
- Partner with stakeholders to support consistent, compliant procurement practices
This role can be based in Auckland, Wellington, Tauranga, Christchurch, or other locations by arrangement, with flexible and hybrid working supported.

You don’t need to come from a traditional procurement background. Instead, we’re looking for a proactive, delivery-focused professional who enjoys working at the intersection of people, process, and systems.
Successful candidates will likely bring:
- Experience in operational, process, systems, or enablement-focused roles
- An interest in how procurement or supply chain functions operate
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- The ability to analyse processes, identify gaps, and implement practical improvements
- Curiosity, adaptability, and comfort working in environments undergoing change
You’ll be supported by approachable leaders, a collaborative team environment, and opportunities to grow your capability as Contact’s procurement function continues to evolve.
