About these Opportunities
We are currently recruiting 14 roles that have been established as part of WorkSafe’s new organisational structure following the completion of their recent change process. The review of WorkSafe’s operating model identified opportunities to strengthen role clarity, enhance ways of working and improve overall organisational effectiveness.
As part of these changes, WorkSafe has invested in additional capability and new positions to ensure the organisation is well placed to meet current and future demands. These opportunities will play an important role in supporting WorkSafe to deliver on its purpose and achieve its strategic objectives for New Zealanders.

Corporate
The Corporate group enables WorkSafe to operate as an effective, accountable and high-performing regulator. It provides the organisation-wide capabilities that support strategic decision-making, organisational performance, governance, communications, accountability and stakeholder confidence. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Board and external stakeholders, the group helps ensure WorkSafe can clearly demonstrate the impact it is having and maintain confidence in its role as New Zealand’s primary health and safety regulator.

Enterprise Planning and Implementation
Purpose to support the organisation as a whole providing coordinated, organisation-wide support to Regulatory Effectiveness, Operations, and Corporate across the end-to-end functional model. Enterprise planning will strengthen how WorkSafe plans for, prepares, and enables effective implementation and delivery of agreed work.

Regulatory Effectiveness
The Regulatory Effectiveness group sits at the heart of how WorkSafe operates as a modern regulator. Bringing together strategic interventions, policy, products and regulatory stewardship, the function is responsible for identifying where harm is occurring, determining where regulatory effort can have the greatest impact, designing interventions that influence behaviour and evaluating whether those interventions deliver meaningful change. It provides the evidence, insight, intervention logic and regulatory products that help shape organisational priorities and ensure WorkSafe’s efforts are focused where they can make the biggest difference.

Operations
The Operations group leads WorkSafe’s frontline regulatory delivery, helping ensure businesses and workers across Aotearoa understand their responsibilities and are supported to improve health and safety outcomes. The group includes the Inspectorate, Technical Advisory, Stakeholder Engagement and Implementation functions, bringing together specialist expertise, regulatory delivery and operational leadership to influence behaviour and reduce harm.
